The City of Caldwell Police Department is seeking Lateral Police Officers to join our ranks!
Are you an experienced law enforcement officer with solid interpersonal skills looking to join a team of dedicated professionals? If so, join our team at the Caldwell Police, serving a diverse and growing community with 85 officers that serve a population of approximately 70,000.
Work a 10-hour shifts. Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with other City employees and the general public. Subject to a pre-employment drug test and background check.
The principal function of an employee in this class is to maintain community order through enforcing local, state and federal laws. The work involves preventing and investigating crimes, patrolling the City of Caldwell area enforcing traffic laws and ordinances, responding to citizen’s calls for service, applying community policing procedures, and making presentations to schools or civic groups. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Sergeant or Police Lieutenant, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative.
Testing: Will be done October 23rd, 2024. CPD will be reaching out to candidates when date approaches.
