The College of Idaho
The state's oldest private college, the campus with an average enrollment of 1,000 boasts seven Rhodes Scholars, 12 Truman & Goldwater Scholars, three Governors, and is ranked No. 1 among Idaho's colleges and universities on Forbes list of "America's Top Colleges."
Treasure Valley Community College
TVCC's satellite campus in Caldwell, Idaho, offers diverse courses to local residents since 2003. Students at the Caldwell Center mainly pursue degrees and plan to transfer to four-year colleges in Idaho or Oregon.
College of Western Idaho
Also, 10 miles away from Caldwell is the College of Western Idaho (CWI). One of the fastest-growing community colleges in the nation, CWI offers a 4-year track as well as professional and technical programs.
Elevate Academy
Elevate Academy is a charter school for middle and high school students. Its mission is to bridge the education-workforce gap by providing hands-on career exploration. The school connects learning to the local job market, helping students graduate as industry-certified professionals.
Caldwell School District
The Caldwell School District in Idaho serves 5,500+ students from preschool to 12th grade, prioritizing early education, college credit courses, and career technical education programs. They offer dual credit, advanced placement, and a variety of extracurricular activities, including successful sports teams.
Vallivue School District
The surrounding unincorporated areas are served by the six elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, one alternative school and two online academies. The current enrollment of Vallivue High School is approximately 1,180 students and the new Ridgevue High School houses over 1,246.
Public Safety and Emergency Services
Public safety in Caldwell is a top priority with the dedicated efforts of the Caldwell Police Department and the Caldwell Fire Department. The police department comprises 70 sworn officers, including specialized bicycle and canine units, serving the expanding population. Meanwhile, the fire department covers 22 square miles within the city and an additional 120 square miles in rural areas, ensuring a swift and comprehensive response to emergencies.
