The City of Caldwell is hiring a Sign/ Stripe Specialist- Come join our team!
The City of Caldwell Street department is looking for a Sign/Stripe Specialist. Individual will fabricate, install and maintain the street signs on the City Street system network; performs street painting and striping of all City roadways, parking lots, and City-owned and maintained properties; performs related work as required.
Education, Training and/or Experience Required:
- At least two years' work experience in road sign work, including sign layout, design, production, installation and maintenance
- At least one year work experience using a personal computer to create graphics for traffic signs
- At least one year of work experience demonstrating proficiency in the operation of light and medium equipment and tools used in roadway construction and maintenance and/or experience in roadway striping/painting
Licenses, Certifications and Other Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a State of Idaho Class A CDL, No Restrictions with Tanker Endorsement within 6 months of hire
- Position is subject to on-call and service response within a specified amount of time
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check, drug testing and physical
Preferred:
- Bridge inspection training and/or certification
- Flagger
- CPR Certified
- First Aid Certified
