The City of Caldwell has an opening for a Land Development Inspector I, Land Development Inspector II or a Land Development Inspector III in the Engineering Department. A Land Development Inspector I assist in the performance of field surveys and inspections for the City’s Engineering Department; performs related work as required. A Land Development Inspector II performs basic engineering department reviews of subdivision and commercial building permit plans. Assists in the development of engineering plans, designs, and specifications for the city’s engineering department; and will perform related work as required. A Land Development Inspector III reviews and approval of all subdivisions and building permits and proficiency in Site Development Inspector I and Site Development Inspector II job responsibilities. Person will develop engineering plans, designs and specifications for the City’s Engineering Department and will perform related work as required.
Acceptable experience, training and requirements:
Land Development Inspector I $19.47- $22.13:
- High School diploma or GED, supplemented by course work in civil engineering or related field; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Possession of a current and valid driver’s license.
Land Development Inspector II $20.84- $23.68:
- High School diploma or GED and extensive field and office experience in public works projects; and
- Minimum of two years’ experience in surveying, drafting and inspection of a civil engineering nature; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Possession of a current and valid driver’s license.
Land Development Inspector III $22.30-$25.34:
- High School diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of college or technical training school, with specialization in subjects related to the field of civil engineering, and extensive field and office experience in public works projects; and
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in surveying, drafting and inspection of a civil engineering nature; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Possession of a current and valid driver’s license.
