Financial Assistance for Caldwell Recreation Youth Activities
Caldwell Recreation offers financial assistance to qualifying families through the Secret Pal program. This program is funded entirely by public donations and is designed to reduce the cost of recreational programs for children who live within Caldwell city limits.
Our goal is to allow all children the opportunity to participate in recreational programs, regardless of their family’s current financial position. The City of Caldwell believes that a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient has contributed to the cost of their program involvement; therefore, applicants will be required to pay a portion of the fees.
How To Apply
Complete the Secret Pal Financial Assistance Form
Forms are available in English and Spanish at the Caldwell Parks & Recreation office, or may be downloaded above.
Submit ONE of the following options
- Documentation that the family is currently receiving assistance (i.e., Food Stamps, Medicaid, Energy Assistance, Free or Reduced School Lunch); OR
- Your previous year’s tax return and proof of current monthly income.
Submit to the Caldwell Parks & Recreation Office
Applications are reviewed and assistance determined within one week. A discount of up to 75%* of program fees may be awarded, with a maximum benefit of $250 per child and $500.00 per family per year. Benefits are valid for one year from date of award.
