Councilmember Chris Allgood's family moved to Idaho in 1976. At that time the Allgood family lived on a remote ranch and Chris was home schooled. Once the family moved to Caldwell, Chris attended Gem State Academy for a couple of years before moving on to work numerous jobs around the valley, mostly involving agriculture.

In 1985 Chris joined the Caldwell Police Department and discovered his passion. Chris served the citizens of Caldwell as the Chief of Police for 8 years before retiring in 2015.

Chris' commitment to Caldwell has not diminished and his desire to make Caldwell a great place for his children to live is stronger than ever. Chris became a proud member of the City Council in 2016.
